A Saturday With Just My Parents and I

Today I spent all day with my mommy and daddy!!  We had so much fun together.  At first we watched session 1 of General Conference.  They sat me on the bed with them in my daddy's office and gave me lots of toys to play with while we watched and listened to the talks.  I was very good and played quietly with my toys and even watched some too!  Usually I try to get off the bed and find all of the things mommy and daddy don't usually let me play with,  but not today.  I stayed on the bed and was so reverent the whole time! Then after the first hour mommy put me down for a nap!  It was great, I slept for an hour and a half!  When I woke up I was SO happy. Then we all played together and had so much fun we were all smiling, laughing and having a good time!  When it came time for session 2 of General conference mommy set up the laptop in the living room.  This way I could play with my toys and walk around while we were listening. I played and mommy fed me lunch.   After session 2,  we all sat together as a family and I kept making mommy and daddy laugh.  I would give mommy kisses on the cheek and then I would bite down.  It must have hurt her because she looked like she was in pain.  So I only did that once more, and then decided I better not bite!  After all of this I took my second nap.  During that nap my daddy went to the priesthood session and when I woke up,  mommy and I played and I watched Elmo while I ate my dinner!  Then it was bath time and off to bed!  What a WONDERFUL day,  just my parents and I.

Taking Steps!

Today I took 6 steps!  Of course I was watching Elmo's World and while I was standing there, mommy picked me up and moved me a few feet back.  I was so busy watching, I didn't really pay attention to the fact that mommy had moved me. I stood there kept my balance and then started to walk forward until I got back to the gate in front of the TV!  I did it a few more times,  but only when Daddy wasn't looking.  Every time he came in to see me take my steps, I would stand there, balance and then decide I wanted to sit down. I don't know why I just would,  a few times I didn't even know he was watching.

I also took a 3 hour nap.  Afterward, daddy and I looked out the window and I pointed out all of the cars I saw to him!  It was so fun, I love that!

And this people, is what happens when daddy changes my diaper. Yeah,  that's how I felt.

On Tuesdays I Get To Play With My Dear Aunt Shay!!

Every Tuesday mommy goes to work.  When she works my fun Aunt Shayla comes and plays with me all day and we have a blast.   Today when aunt Shay came in the door,  I realized that mommy was going to leave and it made me SO sad.  I started crying and holding on to mommy's leg.  I didn't want her to go,  I just needed her to stay.  So I did the best I could to keep her at home.  I  cried hysterically,  I held on to her leg, I had her pick me up and give me big hugs.  I was so sad and a little successful.  She stayed for and extra 15 minutes longer and hugged me.  Daddy wasn't working at that moment so mommy gave me to him and we looked out the window at the cars and houses.  I love looking out the window pointing and saying "car"(or "da" as I pronounce it) it makes me happy.  After daddy and I looked at the cars, mommy went to work and I took a nap.  I was so tired.  When I woke up,  Shayla came and picked me up out of my crib.   I was so happy to play with her for the rest of the day.  It was a blast!  At around 5:00pm  mommy came home.  She walked in the door and I couldn't stop smiling!  She was so happy to be home.  She came in and got me some dinner!!  I LOVE chicken noodle soup, and that is exactly what I ate.  Mommy gave me the bowl and let me eat the noodles and carrots with my fingers.  I ate some,  then tipped the bowl  over onto my tray.  And since the bowl clearly wasn't needed anymore, I threw it on the ground.  Nothing like eating chicken noodle soup with your fingers, on your tray in your highchair.  Well I had so much fun,  and because those noodles are so slippery and hard to hold onto,  I ended up with food all over me.  So my mommy decided it was time for a bath!  I played in the bath with my little fish and my rubber ducky while my mom got me all cleaned up.  Then It was off to bed for me.  I went to bed a very happy baby!

Wrestling With My Big Teddy Bear!!

My Very Adventurous Day!

Friday I woke up at 5:30 am, I was soaking wet.  My mommy came in my room and got me ready to take a bath.  I had so much fun in the bath,  I was smiling and laughing. Mommy then took me out put me in some nice warm, clean pajamas.  She held me for a while, and I drank a warm bottle.  After I finished,  mommy put me back in my bed and I fell fast asleep.

I slept until 9:00 am.  When I woke up my mommy got me dressed and we headed outside.  When we got downstairs mommy and I rode with my friend Caitlin and her mommy to the Living Planet Aquarium.  When we got there we met up with my friends Wesley, Avery, and their mommies.  I saw so many sea animals.  I saw:  Sharks, Stingrays, lobsters, crabs, penguins (which I loved seeing the most), Sea Otters, Sea Horses, & lots of big colorful fish!  I just sat back, relaxed, and sipped water in my sippie cup with a straw while I enjoyed the sea animals and my mommy pushed me in the stroller and fed me lots and lots of snacks.

After we got home from the aquarium.  My mommy fed me a big lunch in which I insisted that I feed myself, because it's so fun.  Sometimes when mommy gives me the spoon I quickly raise my arm and the food on the spoon flies behind me and in my hair,  then I put it in my mouth and eat the food that didn't fly off.  I love doing that (maybe it's because mommy gives me a bath after I eat EVERY TIME I do that).   So after I ate, mommy of course gave me a bath.  I had so much fun playing in the water!  After my bath I took a nice 2.5 hour nap.  When I woke up I was so happy and ready to play.

After playing with my toys and reading books, mommy & I went to the bank.  Then we went to Target and looked around.  When we finally got home,  I was so hungry!   It was dinner time and mommy was so nice to let me feed myself.  It was a blast,  I flung food everywhere, laughed,  listened to mommy sing popcorn popping while I did the actions,  and basically covered myself in baby food and baby yogurt.   It was the best because mommy gave me (yep you guessed it) another bath (my 3rd for the day).   Mommy let me play in the bath for an extra long time and then got me ready for bed.  I went to sleep a very happy baby!!

Eating My Parents Out of House and Home. . . . . . . . Literally!!

Last week I decided to stand up next to the window and scrape my teeth against the wall.  During this time something happened. . . . . . .

I took a big chunk out of the drywall with my teeth!  The best part is:  my mommy and daddy had no Idea what I had done.   I crawled over to them as they were eating breakfast and gave them a big smile.  They saw the white powder on my face,  and had no idea what it was.  At first before she realized it was powder, mommy thought I had spit up. But I knew I hadn't done that.  Then she looked over to where a was playing, trying to find a clue as to what I had done.  She didn't see anything.  So she just wiped it off and forgot about it.  I was so proud of myself for getting away with what I had done, I couldn't stop smiling.

Later on, after I went to sleep, mommy was sitting in the massage chair by the window and that's when she realized.  The powder on my face came from the big chunk I had taken out of the wall (paint and drywall).  She was so surprised, but it all made sense.  All she could do was laugh, be thankful our home was built in 2010  not before 1978,  and put my toy bins in front of the window so I couldn't keep chipping away it.  Such a good day,  nothing like a little drywall and paint to keep you healthy and growing :-)
